The Ross Family

Hello Astros Party Attendees - Meet the Ross Family

This year we have the privilege of raising money for the Ross Family. They are a family of 5 from the Sugar Land area and have a fight on their hands like no other. Kristi and David Ross are the proud parents of Abigail (10), Andrew (9) and Grace (5). They are fighting a battle with not one, but two of their beautiful children. If you met them you would never know their struggle because their trust in God is incredible. David and Kristi are two of the most positive people you will ever meet despite the sacrifices they’ve had to make.

Grace: At 28 weeks pregnant, David and Kristi found out that Grace had a few heart defects that would require 1-3 heart surgeries during her first 5 years of life. One of those heart defects was very common in babies with Down’s syndrome. To date Grace has had six open-heart surgeries due to this congenital heart defect with likely more over the next few years. You would never know little Grace has had any heart problems when you meet her. Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile brightens everyone’s day.

Andrew: Andrew was diagnosed in 2017 with a rare form of cancer called pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. He has had a number of surgeries, gone through multiple rounds of chemo and is now going through a cutting edge procedure that prevents him from being around his family for 6 full days due to the radiation. One of the hardest things on this journey for Andrew is the day to day struggle with pain these tumors cause. Seeing the way the Ross family gracefully travel through this challenging journey is not only inspiring but at many times life changing for those that know them or know their story of how they hope big in a big God. As we continue to support them with our prayers, it is a privilege to be able to support them in this small way financially.
